Outreach

For a small congregation, St Paul’s maintains a very ambitious program of social outreach into the community. These offer a wealth of opportunities for interested parishioners to get involved. Below are some of the most important.

North County Community Services
Our primary outreach arm, NCCS offers advice and financial assistance to those in need, particularly in making rental and utility payments. It also manages several low-income and transitional housing units in Healdsburg, including Victory Apartments next door to the church. The men’s room of our Parish Hall converts at night into the Spare Room, offering emergency accommodation to those in special need. This room also has a shower that is available for use during part of most days.

Healdsburg Shared Ministries

This is the consortium of Healdsburg churches offering help to the community. St Paul’s participates actively by provided the location for the weekly Sunday Dinner program at 4:00, open to all comers. The preparation and serving of this meal is handled by the participating churches by rotation.

Council on Aging

Three days a week, the Council on Aging hosts activities, music and a meal for seniors and their special friends in our Parish Hall.

12-Step and Self-Help Groups

  • Mood Swings, Monday 6 pm
  • Here and Now, Monday 8 pm
  • Overeaters Anon., Tues. 7 pm
  • One Step at a Time, Wed. 8 pm
  • Al Anon, Friday 7 pm
  • Cursillo, first Tuesday of each month, 6 pm

Council on Migration
Migrant Education meets on the third Friday of each month from 8:30 am to 4 pm — this is a program to assist immigrant parents with living in California.
